Default 96 Blazer popping sound

Hey all. I'm brand new to the forum as I've just picked up a 96 4 door Blazer. I got it pretty cheap and I think I know why.

Aside from the usual TLC that any vehicle needs, the thing I'm most concerned about is the popping noise I'm hearing from the rear. This is during moderate to heavy braking, or making a sharp right turn.

My guess is the rear diff is toast. It's not a huge deal. I can fix it in an afternoon. But, I wanted a second (or third or fourth, lol) opinion on this.

Any input?

I would start looking at all the bolts at the rear and all the bushings.
Sometimes it's just that.
