What type of freon for 96 blazer?

Might sound like a stupid question, but what type of freon should I use for my 96 blazer? Does 134a work?

I could be wrong but the R134 is what i beleive every shop that does a/c has to put that kind in all vehs now..it used to be R12

yeah after doing a little more searching on the internet, it looks like r134 should be good. Thanks for the response.
