A/C runs ice cold all day and overnight it is empty any idea's

Ok guys I need to know what all I need to buy when replacing my A/C in a 1997 4x4 Blazer..
here is why I think i need to replace everything I can charge the the A/C up and it will blow ice cold air all day long you drive her and when you park her at night she leaks it all out and I have to recharge it agian my unlce did this for me while driving it from Indiana to Nebraska now it is getting warm outside and it would be nice to have some a/c if you can offer any help thanks took it to the mechanic and he said it was prb the compressor leaking???

Add a "UV DYE" & have someone with a black light see where the leak is. If you want to replace the whole A/C it should be about 12 hours labor & maybe $1500+ in parts.

Buy some super seal at walmart and follow the directions it may work mine leaked a can a week from compressor after it held for5 months

Find then fix the leak. A UV dye is a quick and effective way of finding the leak.

I would not advise the use of the 'fix in a bottle' type products. That stuff can clog up the system making for a much more expensive repair later on down the road.
