Flashing dash lights, slight rough idle
So, I'm still chasing down my slightly rough idle but I also noticed today the dash lights flicker in time with the idle. I did a search and found this link:

I took a few pictures of my truck and need some answers, please. The first one is the location of the infamous grounding wiring connection to the cross member. The second is a picture of what I pulled out after removing the bolt (and yes, it was a pain). Shouldn't the bare wire be attached to something on the vehicle? It has a loop connection at one end but a cut wire look on the other.
If doing what everyone else did per the posted link does not work, I'm going to test the alternator and maybe rewire it per a writeup in the DIY section.

If the connector end was at the frame I'd say the other end (broken end) should go to the body. What's within reach of the open end? Look around there for where that ground strap connected.
That's a good link you posted, I use it often in postings for others, even have it saved as a fav lol.
I'd also look at the connections under the fuse box under the hood & swartlkk's anatomy of an ignition switch he has in his sig.
