High mounted third break light issue
Hi I have a 97 Blazer S10 and my third break light quit working.
I have unscrewed the Stanley break light and I pinned the cables with an Volt Meter. No power at the rear. Some 0.3V was the change when I pressed the break.
I have the version were the light is mounted to the rear trunk lid. the cable is wired under the roof panel.
Who can tell me how to troubleshoot this problem. The fuses are checked an Ok and the other two break lights are working fine.
How is this unit wired.

I am not sure if the Blazers are the same. I don't have time to check the wiring diagrams. But on my 97 Pickup the high mount didn't work because of a relay. It is mounted on the passenger side firewall. Did you check the fuses?

1995 gmc jimmy
On my 1995 gmc jimmy the third brake light was out.
Found open in wires to the light exactley at point where Hatch Window Hinge opens closes. SPLICED NEW WIRES HEAH CORRECTED.
REPEATED OPEN CLOSING WEAR ON WIRING.
I THINK GMC SHOULD OF STRAIN RELIEF DESIGNED THIS BETTER !!
