Problems with Autozone fuel pumps?
Greetings all, I drive a 1999 Blazer ZR2.
About 3 weeks ago I replaced my fuel sender unit with an Airtex from Autozone and a new Fram in line filter. Whiten 100 miles I got a few codes, one was P0452 and the others were catalytic converter efficiency and cylinder 3 misfire. I cleared those and they didn't seem to reappear.
For the past week however I have been noticing a rich fuel smell outside the car when I park and inside the car when not moving or going in reverse. When I take the gas cap off it seems to be under a vaccuum most of the time and I can not remember that happening ever since I've owned the car. The P0452 code has reappeared and was on most of the day with a pending but I think it was happy the last trip I made.
I replaced the harness with the Airtex supplied one, but the wires for that replace the ones feeding motor and level gauge, the pressure sensor has its own seperate plug that didn't get changed.
Are the pressure sensors in these pumps just junk or is it something else I am missing? Also I have gone from 250 or so a tank down to about 200 since changing the pump but I attributed that to a bunch of off road driving these past weeks.

I would suspect a kinked or pinched vent line.
