ok not very motor smart but this blazer im bout to buy is not getting fuel the guy said he replaced the spider injectors and he said its reading 44psi fuel pressure he said you can spray carb cleaner in the injectors and itll run till you shut it off and then it goes back to not getting fuel i dont know whats goin on with it and i know there might be some guys on here that can throw a few suggestions my way to give me an idea on what i need to do thanks

 

a little more info about the vehicle would help.

The fuel pump is not producing the correct amount of fuel pressure, 44 psi is too low, you need a minimum of 58-64 psi for these blazers to start and run, although I have saw many run as low as 52-55 and still run ok. Since the Spider was replaced means it came with a new FPR so I would replace the fuel pump, get a quality pump ac/delco or Delphi

 

Sounds like a fuel pressure issue to me... a 2000 Blazer should be seeing closer to 60psi worth of fuel pressure... with only 44psi, it will not run.
Fuel pump failure seems to occur after around 140k - 160k miles on these vehicles. Try changing the fuel filter first but I bet that you will be putting a new pump in the tank.
A word of advice... DO NOT install an el cheapo fuel pump! Pay the extra money and install an AC Delco unit. It seems like we have all made this mistake once. lol

 

Another vote for a weak fuel pump.

 

ok some more questions and a few edits. some of of yall asked for more info well its a 2000 4 door chevrolet blazer 4.3 v6 um a little over 145000 miles um just wondering for a quick reference how much would a acdelco fuel pump run just by chance im not going cheapo route (bad expierences) i just needa know how much to save so any more info would be great thanks guys!

 

delphi was the only one i could find locally (they make acdelco iirc). I just paid 380 for mine because i couldnt wait to have one shipped here. Rockauto has them for like 280 + s&h. +1 on dont buy a cheap pump, my dad bought one for my old 94 blazer which ended up failing 3 times within 80k miles after we installed it b/c it was a pos autozone unit.

 

One more vote on a worn FP. An acDelco Pump will run you roughly 400. but you can allways search around the net for a cheaper price. the part number is MU1733

 

Pumps are different between the 2dr & 4dr. You can find better prices for genuine AC Delco if you shop around.
