Default Airbag coils

When i went to disconect the airbag while i was doing an ingition switch i accidently pulled the wrong airbag connection to disable them and i pulled the yellow wire coming into the back of the airbag coil pack underneath the steering column and the plastic wrap(or whatever it is) came out. Can i put this back in or do i need a new one or am i screwed? New to this trying to fix my own. Its a 2 dr 1998 blazer automatic with a 4.3. Any help would be very helpful. Thanks Justin

Default Airbag Coil Pics

Here are the three pics. Notice the white plastic ribbon towards the bottom. The end is supposed to slide in the slot before reconnecting the switch(?).

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

as long as you didnt break any of the wires in that ribon you should be ok. But if any of the wires are nicked or broken i would recomend replacing the cockspring assembly, just because its a saftey issue.

You could test out the wiring before picking up the new one. If they ohm out fine, you should be ok. But yeah, you don't want that airbag coming out at you unless required!
