Default 01 blazer heat issues

my heat takes FOREVER to get warm, and when it does get warm, its not very hot and doesnt stay hot very long, and the hose coming from the water pump goin into the heater core is always ice cold, what could be the issue?? Im going to take it somewhere to get the whole system flushed out just incase of any clogs, just some input would be nice...thanks

Definitely sounds like a clogged core. Does the dash gauge read the proper temperature (195-210*F) in short order after driving?

Like Kyle said, it sounds like a clogged heater core.
