01 Blazer, starts and runs but P1336 code
I have a 01 Blazer and I kept getting a misfire code on the #2 cylinder. I replaced the PCM and I followed the installation instruction. Now the vehicle cranks and runs great but I am getting a P1336 code. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix the code? Thanks.

P1336 means that the crankshaft variation learn procedure needs to be done. This can only be performed with a compatible bi-directional scan tool. This is typical for a new PCM as the value depends the variations in the crank position sensor as well as the crank reluctor ring. You won't have much of an adverse effect from having the code set, but you should get it taken care of to get optimum efficiency.

Thank you Swartlkk. So, when I installed the new PCM I had to follow instructions to just get the car to crank. I had to try and start the car for 3 seconds, leave key on for 10 minutes. Then I had to turn the key completely off for 30 seconds. I had to do that 3 times and then follow one last step. After the last step was completed the car cranked and runs great but the code is present. In addition to doing what I done I need to also get someone to hook a bi-directional scan tool up to the car, correct?
