Ok I've got a problem, I got this blazer lil over a month ago, and when I got it it had no light in the dome light space so I put one in there and the light works except when I press dome override button and it turns the dash lights out and the dome light stays on so I try the dimmer except the dash lights stay off and no the dome light will stay off till I roll the dimmer wheel/switch upwards till it hits the part where it clicks and the dome light comes on but still no dash lights, so basically the only way I can get the dash lights to stay on is if I leave the dome light on and if I hit the dome override button the dash lights go out and the dome light still stays on, I believe the dash lights and the dome lights are reversed, so would anybody know where I would look to find the wiring that could be reversed?

What is a JOKE? Dash light dimmer and courtesy lamp control wheel input signals to the BCM. The BCM then decides how to control the dash lights and the BCM also turns on courtesy lights through a relay. I have no idea what you have done when adding your "dome light", and I think you may not have any idea either. I am guessing your added dome light is either causing the problem or worst case has damaged the BCM. Try reversing what you have modified.
p.s I have never heard of a second gen blazer not having enough courtesy lights. They are everywhere in mine.
