01 extreme ac issue

Default 01 extreme ac issue
hello ust got a 01 blazer extreme was tol had a newer ac comp on it well the ac dont work checked the freon level wouldgo from almost empty to way overcharged when the comp would turn on what does that mean

Were you recharging it and the compressor began to short cycle? If so, then keep adding freon until the compressor stays on fully. Then the pressure will be steady.

yes i was. but stoped when i saw the gauge go way to the red now if i just put te gauge on it says its in the full zone but there is no cool air. the comp turns off and on when trying to add
