01 Jimmy shut off, completely
I went out to start it with my remote starter, it usually beeps twice, then starts. Today it beeped twice, then made a 'zap' sound like a fuse went or something. The keyfob doesn't work now, no lights are on inside/outside and no lights come on in the dash. The car is completely off with NO way to start it. Can't jump it and won't attempt to start. If I turn my TomTom gps on, it'll turn on for a sec then make a 'zap' sound and turn off. If I push my hazard button in it makes a fast clicking noise from the passenger-side kickpanel. I've tested all fuses, battery, and alternator. All tested good. Where should I look next?
Could this be an ECM problem? Car was hesitating to start a few times today, but nothing I thought out of the ordinary. Mechanic just did the lower intake manifold gasket two days ago, car has been fine since. What did I do? [&o]

Wow, you couldn't even have waited a half hour... [&o] While I realize that this may be an urgent problem for you, it is no reason to violate the rules of the forum. We all have lives outside of the forums so a little patience on your part goes a long way. Being impatient may cause people not to help that would have otherwise...
So, now about your problem. Have you checked your battery? Is it the original AC Delco battery? How about the fuses? AC Delco batteries in this time frame had issues with corrosion inside the battery on the positive lug. It is also possible that somehow you blew the main fuse. Follow the large positive battery cable. You'll have to remove the battery and the battery tray, but at the end of the positive cable there will be a plastic box. Inside is a very large fuse.

Sorry, but its in a shady parking lot and I need it out of there asap. And the timestamps on the two posts show I actually waited 30 min [&o]
Here's the update. If I disconnect the positive cable and reconnect it, all of my accessories come on no problem. Once I try to turn it over, everything goes out and I hear a thunk sound from under the coolant resevoir (starter?) Pretty sure its an original starter. If that was 100%bad, would all of my dash lights turn off after I try to turn it over?
Sorry again swart
