Probably a failed sensor at one of the doors. The car thinks one of the doors is always open.

I have a '99 Olds Bravada that developed the same problem last week. It has a dome light override button that you can press that will turn the dome lights off all the time, but when out the lights stay on permanently. The problem appeared at the same time my driver door stopped locking, the button to the rear window glass stopped working (key fob and dash button work), and when the accessories stopped staying on between turning off the car and opening the door. I'm wondering if they are all related and maybe it is the driver's door sensor that is not working.

If yours has the rear tailgate where the glass is separate, check to make sure the glass is latching firmly enough to press the plunger that turns off the dome lights. I had this problem with mine, only figured it out after it drained the battery one night. You can make adjustments, and get it to latch properly to turn off the dome lights.

There is also a switch in the back, on the ceiling, that "turns off" the plunger I mentioned earlier. So if you open the hatch, no lights will come on.

I had the same problem on mine. I tracked it to the factory keyless entry. I have it unplugged for now, waiting to get a new one.
