I have a leak from the same hose in the same way. The hose seems to run down to the transmission. What was the final solution?

 

great job guys, working it out. my blazer is doing the same thing same yr. make and model.
i'll tear into it tomorrow if i find out anything i'll be in touch

the master of the milfs is right. this hose should not be leaking coolant.its so hard to see, and there's no freeze plug on back of moter it's more than likely intake gasketfile://How To Replace Intake Manifol...Engine Repairs

someone suggested power washing top of moter before starting this project.what do others than thank? is this a good idea?

 

Working on a clean or cleaner engine is always easier & safer in the sense that you have less chances of contaminating the engine with crap that falls off as you take it apart.
Get a can of foaming engine cleaner, plastic wrap & tie off key electrical items list the dist. coil, fuse box etc. Follow the directions.

 

NEVER NEVER POWER WASH! Foam engine cleaner, easy on the water bath.
