Default 02 4dr fuel issue/ lonnnnnnng crank

Blazer is tough to start and my pressure readings aren't exactly where they need to be 50 psi keyed up and takes forever to get goin, but if hook cables to it to jump it it starts a lot easier its got an airtex in it ... And it does leak down quick within an hour drops to 20 wondering if I should pull the pump and replace or if the regulator is bad since the 02 doesn't have a vac line to check it is there another way also I know that delco pumps are the way to go but the airtex was all I could get In a pinch, what ya'll think ??

Is it an 02 or an 01? is it the SCFI engine? I can check but I'm just lazy. When you hook the cables does it start normal or still a little bit sluggish? how is your battery voltage? if you have a leak it can be your fuel pump check valve but you have to isolate where the leak is in your fuel lines either in the back half of the line or up front where the regulator and injectors are.

This is one way to tell if its the reg or the pump but you need a friend. You pinch the feed and return line with it pressurized and see if you still have leakdown. You can also deadhead at the filter.

Or just look down the throttle body, if you see goldish color and it looks really clean, you know its the reg or injectors leaking. It should look really black.
