Exclamation 02 blazer surge at idle when cold

hey. so i have an '02 4.3l v6 w vin. i'm experiencing an rpm surge at idle when car is cold. as soon as it reaches about 180-190 degrees, the rpm's level out. car runs like a champ as soon as it warms up. I cleaned the throttle body, intake air temp. sensor and MAF. Idle was normal for all of 2 days, then started surging at idle again. so that night i cleaned the idle air control valve. next morning, problem was still there. As the car rpms were surging up and down, i turned the car off and sprayed the MAF with throttle body cleaner. (same stuffed i cleaned it earlier with). anyways, I started the car again and the problem went away for 1 day. next morning it was surging again. Should i just replace my MAF, or keep diagnosing?

any help would be appreciated.

Dan.

edit:
hey. so i am having a problem with my car surging and stalling while the car is warming up. I checked my haynes manual and it tells me how to check a MAP sensor for 5volt reference and whatnot. I'm pretty sure that my MAP sensor is messed up since i have the reference voltage but when i turn the car on and let it idle, i backprobed the sensor and got very erratic readings. the haynes manual says that if that happens i have a bad sensor and replace it. but how do i check the MAF sensor? Am i looking for the same readings as the MAP?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dan
