Default 02 sls remote starter

i was wanting to put a remote starter in my 02 jimmy sls.
i found one its probably junk but its only $150 installed, but i think that is full price.
next cheap-o option is there is one on sale locally for $65 but no install. its has good reviews, and i like the price but ive never installed one of these before, i actually bought one 2 or 3 yrs ago and was going to install it but it sat in the corner for a few weeks after looking at the wiring harness then i just returned it.

so has anyone ever installed one before? im fairly good with figuring thigs out on cars, but if its going to make me want to light this thing on fire even more ill just pay the 150 installed and call it a day.... i would really like to find one for 150 cash installed...that would be ideal...damn HST...

i was going to put this in the electrical section but it didnt have a single post in it, so i went general... i hope i done get this thread moved ..that will be 2 for 2 today if it does lol (sorry mods)

My '02 Blazer came with a Audio Vox aftermarket alarm and under the hood is a label that warns of it having a remote start. I have never been able to find it although I did find the alarm module.
So I was going to replace it and after looking at various alarms with remote start decided against it. It appears that the alarm and remote start replace the factory Body Control Module, so wiring does not look very difficult; just a matter of getting the correct wire colors in the proper place. All the wiring appears to be under the dash at the left corner by the parking brake pedal.

Wife really likes her remote start in her car.....I can do without it.

If you do replace yours.....I would like to buy your factory alarm and key fobs.
