If there's no code for the cat, your cat is fine. If not you'll get a P0420.

Regarding the tranny code -- what is the transmission doing? Is it shifting normally? Does it feel like it's struggling to get moving from a stop?

Usually when that happens it's the 1-2 shift solenoid - easily replaced by just dropping the pan. When that solenoid goes it will start off in 3rd gear & only make one shift to 4th. Very noticeable. That will kill your mileage. It's like pulling a trailer everywhere.

 

Trans seems to be shifting fine. Its sluggish but it always has been. I had a GTP, GXP, and now a 3 series so im used to driving something with a lil pep to it. I only discovered the code after one funny shift. Hasn't happened since. I just drove it around 75 miles tonight with no issues.
