1995 blazer 4.3 gremlins! IN CT!
Hi everyone, i been lurking around a few days as i just got a blazer and have a few...... gremlins to say the least.
1. the vacuum problem we all seem to have. I know my lines have cracks or going to soon, so i have no heat or a/c, just the defroster, BUT i pulled the dash controls cause i here a vacuum being pulled from the controller no matter where i turn the selector. Is this normal? I am not thinking so.
2. No heat, heater core smelling, yeah stupid mechanics prior to me buy the truck said there was no leak, WELL if they would have looked they would notice the clog and the lines are ice cold, so i guess before i pull the dash, i may just by-pass the core and give the block and radiator a good old cleaning (cascade!), then pull the dash and core out and do a replace. Is it a big project? like if you had no tools and never touched a car 9 hours? (I was a saturn tech, so looking for worst case)
3. I did loose 4wd but that was fixed, but only 4 low is working not high. o.O sort of strange.
4. this one may be related to all, but on the highway about 65-70 rpms about 2k it will float or um, bounce, i guess pulsate about 500 rpm and wants to surge if that makes sence, but under a load is fine.
Sorry for asking so much!
and to spice it up..... hehe I have a 1991 chevy 454SS pickup
