Default No Start

I had a Sunbird that did the very same thing. Check the fuses to the fuel pump if fuses are OK, it sounds like a fuel pump to me.

Default Fuel Pump Problem

Was the fuel filter ever replaced on the vehicle? Possibly it is so plugged up full of debris it doesn't have enough fuel pressure to start the motor. Next check the fuses and/or fuel pump relay. If those are good crawl under the vehicle with a volt meter to see if there is 12 Volts getting to the fuel pump. The guy you bought the truck from said he installed a fuel pump? If so was it new or a junk yard special?? Also, check your grounds. I am asking those questions because your vehicles symptoms are identical to the Sunbird I had and it was a fuel pump.
