1995 Chevy Blazer Won't Crank

I've tried to do some digging around and so far I believe I have a problem with the fuel pump.
I have a 95 Blazer that won't start. I was driving it the other day and when I pull up in the driveway I noticed I was out of gas. Went to start the next day, won't crank (just keeps trying to start but won't catch), put some gas in it I had in the garage and still nothing. I do not hear the fuel pump when I turn the key to on. I have tested the relay in the glove box by switching it with the horn and testing the horn - horn works with either relay in, so i think the relay is fine. I also replaced the fuel filter (it was time anyway), still nothing. I tried to connect power off the battery to the red wire on the driver side engine compartment I believe is the fuel pump test wire, and it doesn't seem to turn the pump on either. Does that wire bypass the relay in the glovebox?
Reason I think it's fuel is the fact that I drove it to really empty (by accident). I wanted to test the wires on top of the fuel pump, but not sure which wire should have power and when. Looks like there are 3 wires there.
Also, if I have to replace the fuel pump, has anyone cute a hole through the body and gone in from the top? It seems like that would make life a lot easier. I believe the hole would be under the seat so it shouldn't be an issue when recovered, but not exactly sure.
Any other things I should try before saying it's the fuel pump? I had also heard something about the oil pressure switch, but wasn't sure how I could test that.

First thing you need to do is test the fuel pressure - lots of threads and posts telling how. Use the search function for 'test fuel pressure', etc.
