1995 Jimmy typical rich running and poor idle
Hello everyone. I recently bought this 95 Jimmy
Real cheap. $350 it had the typical running rich'
basically no idle issues so I figured I'd pull the upper
plenum off and change the FPR and nut kit, well it didn't need either. Come to find out it had a bent exhaust valve and My machinist friend (who's been in the game for over 40 yrs.) said "Ya' know there was actually a recall on those things back then about valves seizing in the guides." Sure enough that was the problem. So far I have it apart waiting for a valve. The stem itself is all pitted, so I'm not sure it's the guide that's the issue or the material on the valve itself. I will post My findings and results as soon as I finish this headache.
