Default 1996 Blazer 4dr Need help identifying possible problems

If we see the attached picture this is the underside of my truck. I am curious on how this looks and if anything looks like it should be replaced. It sat in Michigan most of its life. I would like to know some good options to clean the rust of and protect after. I also would like to know if the shock absorbers need replacing. Seems to drive fine. except when trying to make a sharp turn radius in the parking lot. This is going to be my summer project and am starting it now. All budget friendly ideas are helpful. I am very DIY but not very car knowledgeable.

If it is a 96 yes to the the shocks. You have an oil leak from either the front main seal or the oil pan. It is cheaper to just keep topping off the oil and checking it once a week. It looks like you have a power steering leak judging by those lines up front but I would recommend cleaning them and driving it and routinely inspecting the leaks to trace the source. But it looks just like every other 96 that I've been under and in some cases a little better. it needs some TLC but over all it looks fine. I would buy it if that makes a difference.

Am currently taking all the trim off to repaint and would like to try and clean up this bottom as well.

Thanks i am just now starting to get under it. i plan on cleaning it up and seeing if it leaks. There have not been any spots on the driveway. I figured the shocks were bad. I think i can handle that myself. Appreciate the insight
