Default 1996 Blazer Quetions

The temp gauge stays here when i crank it. I can drive it for 15 minutes and the engine is really hot. I put water in it everyday and by night i have to put more in. Why could it be running hot so quick?

The break light stays on and wont go off. Why is this?

I found this under the drivers side dash it was not plugged into anything. Any clue what it is? My break lights nor blinkers works could it be something to do with that? When i bought this blazer it was used and someone had went through the dash and unplugged the 4x4 i just recently discovered it and plugged it in.

This wire was pushed into the dash and i found it and the was the only place i could find for it to go it is located just under the fuse panel. What is it?

The back hatch wont pop. the button lights up but when i press it it makes no sound or nothing. I figure its the motor has gone bad inside the bottom part. Can you open it with the key i have tried but it wont work it just locks and unlocks the doors.

Please help. I know nothing about cars.

check to see if there are any fluids leaking into your intake manifold. if the intake is wet, that's probably why. Buy a Hanyes manual at Autozone. we just had to replace ours because antifreeze was leaking into it. the plastic seals on the intake had all but broke.
