1997 Blazer no start, PCM?
Hi,
I just bought a Blazer 97 which is not starting only cranking.
In the dash there is no SES or Check Gages coming up on ignition. Also there is no 12V at the fuel pump and the fuel and oil pressure gauges are maxed out.
Is it right that there is only one fuse box on the driver side in the Dashboard? I looked everywhere to find the fuel pump relay but didn't managed it.
The idea it could be the PCM is that the guy from which I bought the Blazer gave wrong start up to the battery and crossed the poles.
Hope someone has an idea on that.
Kind regards,
Torsten

Hi George,
no codes. I only have a OBD2 Scanner which doesn't fit.
I think it's OBD1, so I can bridge some contacts?
I can get a used PCM, do you think that would help?
Kind regards,

A 1997 Blazer uses ODBII, what does your DLC connector look like?
The PCM is almost never the issue. That said, a replacement needs to be flashed to the vehicle configuration unless it is a prefect match to the current truck.

Hi,
sorry for late answer. I finally found the issues:
- Injection Spider was leaking from 4 poppets
- Vacuum Leaks from Intake Manifold
- Vacuum Lines were missing
- Cat was totally clogged.
Now it's running fine.
Thanks for your help George.
And yes for sure it's OBD2, should get some Software to get Live Data.
Kind regards,
