Default 1997 Blazer Will Not Start

I have a 1997 Blazer and I am having problems starting it after driving it for a while, usually 5 or more miles. This happened about 6 weeks ago after driving it about 15 miles and went to restart. It cranks just fine and sounded like it was going to start at first but it didn’t. I went back out a couple of hours later and it started right up and drove fine. I have not had any problems till the other day when I went to Home Depot. It started fine to go there and started the second time to pull over to get my trailer loaded but when I went to pull away after loading the trailer it would not start. My son in-law pushed the schrader valve and there was no fuel pressure with the key on or while cranking and I could not hear the fuel pump running. We towed the vehicle home and halfway home he tried to start it and it fired right up and drove it the rest of the way home. I had ignition switch problems last fall and replaced it and I installed a new fuel filter. I had the same problem with my Ranger pickup and it was the fuel pump relay so for $10 I changed it last night. I drove to work today, 15 miles, and it ran fine, no power loss at all, but when I got to work I tried to restart the engine which it did the first try with no problem but did not start the second try. Again I could not here the fuel pump. I went back out at lunch and it started righ up and started another 12more times with no problems. Any one have any ideas, my next step was going to be to check the fuel pump to see if it’s getting power. I here the connection is hard to get to but it can be done. I did notice there was some kind of module behind the throttle body on the intake that was making a buzzing sound wi the key onbut not sure what this is.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!
Thanks
Mike

I am having the exact same problem with a 1999. It has been towed twice in the last 6 weeks and then starts anytime someone looks at it. It is at the shop now please feel free to contact me in a day or so at brianlauer1@comcast.net and I will let you know what I find out.

Thanks,

Brian

I drove it home tonight and it did the exact same thing. Started once and then would not start again. I went in the house for about 20 minutes and came out and it started three or four times andthen wouldn't start anymore.

Ok here is what I did tonight. Lookng at themanualI found a section on testing the fuel pressure switchwith a by pass wire or called fuel pump prime on the diagram. The car wouldn't start tonight even cold. I connected a jumper wire from the + terminal on the battery to the jumper connetor, red wire in front of driver, and the fuel pump did not come on with the key on or off and was not getting any fuel from the shrader valve. So right now I beleive I have a bad fuel pump.
