Default 1997 LT Oil Leak

Okay so i've been a proud Blazer owner for a little over a year. It has always had a small oil leak, i've searched for the starting point but cannot find it. I've traced the oil to what I think is the Oil pan. Obviously this doesn't mean it is leaking from there. I saw a similar post to mine a while back but cannot find it for whatever reason. Any information helps!1997 LT Oil Leak-img_1645.jpg

from the pics it looks like the oil cooler lines could be the culprit. its a pressure leak so should be easy to spot with the vehicle running.
clean it off with brake and parts cleaner, or take it to the car wash bay. then run it and watch.

Yes easy, u will need a few extensions & some patience!!!! Lol u can wiggle the lines out if u jack the motor up...no need to remove the motor mount bolts I believe there is a dyi thread on this topic? Btw if u are gonna do it I suggest u buy the ac delco lines!!! I used the aftermarket & within 6 months had to use the warranty!!!! Try to find them either on rock auto or ebay motors!!!!

If that's not it those models are bad about leaking near the rear main seal.

The 4.3 also is prone to leak oil from the plastic front cover.
if you have a 4wd, then there is ALOT of work involved in replacing either the rear main seal or the front cover.

i pray its neither of them.
i checked inside the bellhousing it was bone dry so does that eliminate the rear main seal?

Default Update*

Found my leak finally, going to change my oil and replace the oil cooler lines. Thankfully it wasn't the rear main. Thanks for all your help!
