1997 LT Oil Leak

If that doesn't fix it, the oil filter adapter might be the problem, (the piece that the cooler lines connect to). There's a gasket and an O ring that like to leak on these. If that turns out to be the problem, do yourself a huge favor and replace the oil pump bypass valve while the adapter is off... about $10.

how were you able to tell? like yours, the oils literally everywhere. did you let the truck run and just sit under there? and this might be a dumb question but was it from the fittings? i heard theyre cheap and prone to leak, even the new OEM lines

Basically i got it washed out underneath at the carwash. Went home got under while running, located my oil cooler lines and saw the drip. My lines actually got warped due to age thus causing the leak. The new lines seem better because they are new but only time will tell.

definitely a good idea, gonna check it right before i change my oil in a month or so
