Default 1997 Start problem, this ones tough!

Hello Forum. I have a 1997 Blazer that tries to start but won't. This problem basically just started. Sure need some help with this. Here is the situation:

1- Cranks, tries to start, plugs are wet.

2- No DTC set.

3- Spray a small amount of ether and engines runs and will restart and is drivable. After about 6 hours of sitting, engine does not start again.

4- Checked fuel pressure at 60 psi and holds with very little if any leak down.

5- Checked h2o, at , map, maf, and o2 sensors, checked good.

6- Check coil, wires, cap, all have been replaced earlier.

What is so puzzling is that there are no codes and once it starts it runs fine. We have 2 Blazers with almost the exact same problem. Is there something that is a common failure for these symptoms for this model year? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I would check the ignition switch... Apparently they are known to go funky on you lol.

how does spraying ether into the engine, get around a bad ignition switch problem? have you checked the fuel regulator kgpace? also, does the same effect happen with gas? (does pouring some fuel onto the throttle body help it start?) i know the pressure is supposed to be 60-65psi for the fuel pump (and you test showed this), but.........how long did you leave the gauge presurized for any possible leak down?you could also have a bad fuel pump that's not showing up right away (possible there is a leak in the system somewhere too).
