My 1999 chevy blazer rear door won't lock. The rear door key will lock and unlock my interior doors but won't lock the rear door itself. What can I do to get my rear door to lock?

I am assuming you are refering to the the tail gate lock. There is a small solonoid that coincides with the lock setting on the drivers door. This is located inside the tail gate itself. If it is just the solonoid,the key won't work. But,if it is the cylinder the key won't work either! SO...Put your ear next to the gate and have someone hit the unlock at the driver door.If you don't hear a little bzzert,its the solonoid.If not you either have a bad cylinder or possible tailgate linkage problems-All are easy fixes:search the info here!
