Default 2 radiators, 2 differnt part #'s, interchange anyways?

so heres the story, i have (2) gen II S10 blazer 4wd-4dr's, one is a '95, (parts) the other is a '97. (driver) ive had a slight leak from the left side of the radiator for a while now, weather had finnally got nice enough that i could pull the radiator from the parts rig. right away i noticed the engine oil cooler hookups were threaded connections, the '97 has theaded connection, but also has the "quick-connect" fittings. the transmission cooler hookups looked a little different on the passenger side, but maybe its just the size of the hex on the flare nut. brought it home and compared the two, one other thing that is different on the '95 rad, the top hose connection, drivers side that goes to the thermostat is angled a little bit, maybe 45 degrees towards the fan, where the '97 is a straight fitting. i didnt think until i got home, but checked a autozone website to see if there was differnt part #'s for the '95 vs the '97 and yep, price differece too, if the engine cooler lines are the only issue in hooking up the older rad, i could always use the oil lines off the '95, im sure the remote filter adaptor is the same. the angle of the top hose connection doesnt look like enough to be a issue. im hopeing i dont have to pull the old rad out of the '97 at all, i had pulled out the air filer box to further inspect the l.h. tank and found that the lower retaining nut for the oil cooler was only hand-tight, i tightened it and sprayed everything with brakeclean, i figured id give it a few days of use before trying the other rad. anyone run into this difference in radiators before? or a loose oil cooler to tank retaining nut? heres hoping i dont have to order a $130.00 radiator. there seem to be alot of differences under the hood between the '95 & '97. most everything else is the same.
