Hello everyone before I tell you what I need assistance for I do understand that they're many articles about doing it and I've read through a lot of them. I also know that this is a cheap lift that can cause front end parts to wear out quicker. Now, I've been following the article written up by our fellow member, Blazinator, who hasn't been around in awhile =( (I hope he's doing alright). I got my shackles installed and some used ZR2 bars as my regular "Smooth ride bars" that came with mine were worn. Anyhow, I'm having issues getting the correct 1.5" lift in the front. I don't want to overdo it and am worried I've got it wrong. I know many members have done this and had great success so I need your opinions and advice. I have pictures from the front, back, side, and of each front wheel. I also have measurements of the front and rear, "top lip of your rim to the center of your fender lip" like in his post. The CV Axles look like they are at to much of an angle but like I said I'm not sure. PS the upper balljoint boot came off while driving around which you can see in one of the photos and that's also why I want your opinions before getting an alignment. Thank you! Also, yes my hood is being held down with an electrical cord
It looks like the drivers side torsion bar key is off by 1 "notch"... did you mar the placement of the keys before movement?
Unfortunately no. I put in the new bars and counted 40 quarter turns*^ on each one. The driver side bar sags a little more than the passenger side so I'm not sure how many extra turns if has. Both keys were put in identically the same on each side. I just kept going up till I measured both sides and they were just about right. Is this to much lift (I wanted to get it to 1.5 but the rear measure is kind of off 1/2 like blazinators which was confusing...) and what do you recommend to do now?
It just looks like the camber bolts are off on the driver, toe-in/toe-out... I'm wondering if they were removed and put in upside down?
Would someone that was doing an alignment mess that up? Before I started working on my car I took it to a shop for an alignment and it broke down a week later. Took it to another shop and they told me that the previous shop loosened a bunch of bolts that looked new on purpose.

here's a picture taken before the lift and new bars. Look how the wheels are angled.
that's with the steering wheel straight ^^^
I'm not sure. It would be stupid of them to do that if they did... and a big law suit if it can be proven...
im at a loss for now...
edit: looks perfectly fine before
Well the keys were put in at the exact same angle so both sides would have an issue if it was those. I've also tried two different bars on the drivers side. Do you think the lift is to high? I wanted it at 1.5 or below. If it's not then I'll take it in for an alignment and see what they have to say about it...
Got an alignment today and they said the best they could get it was about 2 degrees off in camber. I guess I'll be getting a pair.
Theres not bushings for 2 degrees of correction so I'll have to get these I suppose? Opinions appreciated.
