2000 AC cant find leak anywhere
any help would be much appreciated. i have a 2000 LT and the ac will not hold a charge, threw some in it a month and a half ago and it leaked out within a couple days, so i brainstormed when i had time away from my 2002 blazer LS (whole different story). so yesterday i threw another can in it and some dye, it blew cold air for maybe 2 minutes before blowing lava again. i have checked everywhere i can see (everything in the engine compartment except the evaporator) cannot find a leak. cant smell free-on in the cab but doesnt mean there isnt a leak, any tips before i tear my dash apart because i really dont wanna do that. im having a new baby boy in 4 days and its 95 degrees here in the PNW and this thing is black with black leather interior. its a freaking oven on full blast!!!

If it's leaking as fast as you say, it should be fairly simple to find the leak. A very common place to leak, is on the under side of the compressor where the case halves come together. Unless you use UV dye, a black light, and the yellow glasses, you might not find it.

i waited until it was dark today and got on saw your post Captian Hook and i found it. my compressor is leaking like a civ but everytime i checked it it was light out so i couldnt see it. i was using dye and a uv light. looks like i might pull the one out of my 02. as i do not have the money to buy a new one but the other one works with no leaks
