Default 2000 Blazer

I have a 2000 Blazer ZR-2 (the off-road) one. I drove to the store today and the car started right up. When I returned the car wouldn't start. It didn't try to start or turnover and there was no clicking sound. All the lights and the stereo work fine, so I don't think it's a battery issue, the gauge shows it has voltage. There has been no previous trouble with the car starting. Does anyone have any ideas? Could I have tripped the security system in the vehicle? Thank you for any help.

Zac

The next thing I would do is disconnect the battery for a bit, and start it again. Then maybe ask for a jump. Check the electrical connections.

This problem can be electrical or mechanical. One easy trick is to rap on the starter solenoid, because they can get stuck. Use a small hammer and only hit it hard enough to un-stick the solenoid. Then try to start it. If that does it, you need a new starter.

Thanks. I guess that the starter was stuck because I tapped it a few times and started right up.
