2000 blazer

Default 2000 blazer

My blazer stalled today,it turns over but wont start
when i turn the key on i cant hear the fuel pump wind
any ideas out there thanks tony

Sounds like you will be replacing the fuel pump. Be sure to buy an AC DELCO or equivalent and change the filter at the same time.

Diagnose the problem.

Have you tried some starting fluid into the intake? If not, do it now and let us know the results. If the truck starts and runs on starting fluid, then your problem is very likely with lack of fuel. The next step would be to actually test the fuel pressure (per the instructions linked to in my signature below) and let us know the results.

It starts with starting fluid,but the fuel pump doesnt wind up when I turn the key on
but this morning for no reason the fuel pump did wind up when I turned the key and it started right up on its own,but I went 2 miles and it died again. Can a bad fuel pump sudenely work again for a short period or do you think I have a bad elect,connection
