2000 Chevy Blazer broken fuel guage

The fuel guage in my blazer is messsed up it always says it's full. Sometimes it will go all the way down to empty but then it just bounces right back up to saying it's full. Has anyone ever come across this problem with any other blazers?

Yep, 1000s of people! Its the sending unit on your pump is bad.

Yup, or an intermittent ground for the fuel level sender. If the fuel level sender is faulty, it can be replaced separately from the fuel pump module.

) Did it also until I dropped the tank and put a new AC-Delco pump assembly in (yesterday).

Now says 1/4 tank - Dandiest thing, I only put 5 gallons in... I thought those new pumps put fuel BACK into the tank

WELL know issue with the pump/sending unit assys. Depending in which state you're registered the vehicle in, it MAY not pass DMV/MOV inspection (NY being one...
