2001 Blazer 4wd Fuel Pump Issue
#1
July 2011 my fuel pump died so I had it replaced. Sadly I went with a Airtex unit which was a mistake. That lasted for 3 weeks and crapped out. The pump would kick on every other day or three days. Finally at the end of august it wouldn't fire up anymore. I gave up and left in the garage throughout winter.
Feb. 2012
Replaced fuel pump with a brand new Delphi Unit and new Battery. Truck fired right up like nothing ever happened. Since then I've been driving the truck 3 times a week since it's not my daily driver anymore.
Yesterday I get home from work and went to take the truck out for a drive and nothing. Truck will crank but no noise from the fuel pump. I removed the wires from the pump and used a test light to see if the pump is getting power. I had my wife turn the key to run and both the black and black/white wire get power.
Would anybody have any idea what else could cause the pump not to turn on? I'm going to pick up a fuel pump relay today after work to see if that's a cause even tho the pump is getting power.

Gray is fuel pump power + during the 2 second prime
If the black is positive referenced to the black/white, then trace through splice pack 423 to the grd point atop the crossmember over the differential.

Did you check the fuse by any chance? I always look at the easy solutions first then start workin my way up lol.

I could be wrong on the color of the wire. It was dark in my garage. I used a test light just to see if I'm getting power. And my fuel gauge reads that I have half a tank of gas left. I'll double check the color of the darker wire when I get home.

I looked last night and was black and the grey wire that got power when I turned the key to the the run position. They would power up for a few seconds which I assume is enough to prime the pump. I replaced the fuel pump relay last night and still no luck.

You've got power and ground at the pump. Which connector do you have at the fuel pump module?

OHM to chassis {gnd} from the FP prime socket. single slot next to the fuel pump relay
