I just traded my 1999 blazer for a new 2001 model and has a strange sound too cannot pinpoint it though is like a grinding sound when stopping brakes seem to work ok kind of grab though after going through car wash first time with it.
It snowed today and when backing up made a jerky sound like the front end alignment or something stuck under the wheels then was fine. Scared me alot didn't want to get stuck out in this snowstorm today with it. The guy who sold me the blazer put my tires back on from the 1999 blazer he did this with no hoisting truck or anything just from his backyard. Could this noise be it is out of alignment needs a professional alignment done?
Other thing is when I go to get gas the pump keeps stopping? To fill it or put any in have to keep restarting it to get the gas in. Engine light is on all the time he said it was an air system or something causing that light to stay on?

Mary, if the seller just swapped your wheels and tires from the 99 to the 01, there certainly is no reason the vehicle needed to be on a hoist. The job is faster on a hoist for sure though!! Did you test drive the 01 or have anyone look at it prior to purchasing? You might want to start your own thread for this one.
