Default 2001 Blazer - What is this Delphi Box ?

Curious what this Delphi box is mounted to the driver's side firewall on 2001 Blazer ? Thanks in advance to those in the know.

Looks like the cruise control module.

Look to see if the cable coming out of it goes to the throttle plate. If it does, it is the cruise control.

BTW, that vacuum hose in front of the module goes to a vacuum reservoir that is inside the upper part of the fender, in this picture, down and to the right.

Without it plugged in, your HVAC and 4wd will not work properly.

Interesting. On mine, the part that goes into the fender is missing and the nipple on the check valve (or whatever the little plastic "T" fitting is) is plugged with what looks like epoxy. I assumed it was done by the previous owner, since he was epoxy-happy and not very mechanically inclined.

I've hardly driven my Blazer, since I bought it just to build up, and am still working on it. But I haven't noticed that the HVAC controls don't work (stock front differential assembly and transfer case are long gone). I'll have to pay more attention.

Thanks for the info.

Good eye Christine....I noticed the same thing in the pic (thinking that was a good shot/perspective of it)..... and thankfully learned about that important Blazer idiosyncrasy a couple of years ago.

On my truck, that is the location for a computer, the ECM I think. I had to remove it to get it out of the way so I could replace the HVAC blower motor. Mine looked different than that though. The picture below shows what mine looks like. It is the black box thing with the fins to the left of the aluminum cylinder.
