2001 blazer has not been started for about 2 months (working on brakes). I turn the key, but all I get is a few clicks. The battery is new. The starter was checked. Much thanks to this website for info on how to remove the starter. It was difficult but I got it out. Tested it. It is good. Put it back in. The alternator was also checked and is good. I checked fuses and all is fine. I don't see any frayed or broken wires or loose connections. I am getting lights/accessories working but my electrical gauage does not show any reading. Any ides what to try next ?

Two months sitting ... even a "new" battery will lose charge . Suggest having battery load tested and go from there

No, new battery means it was just changed. 2 months of not starting and the alarm drains the battery, next time i have to leave it not starting for that long, i'm going to disconnect the battery

Hello
I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer. The starter engine wont start, I can hear a clicking like sound and the fuel pump. I was having hard time to start the car lately. Battery voltage looks ok. What should I do? Please help me, I am a student and this is my only transportation.

Underhood Fuse Block Crank relay click {sort like a flasher click} or Solenoid Click {heavier sound under engine pass side}
BigD: No volts on alt gauge?!!! HAve all warning lights on at switch on,? does fuel pump run?
Vlad: Dont say volts look normal.. give me a number. So it is '#" when you go key on.. what it read in crank? {start}

could be a dead spot in the starter that will test ok out of car, put voltage to the small terminal on starter and see if it will engage. your battery should have 12.6 volts at least. is the security light flashing?

Vlad.Please read carefully what I write...
So it is 12v in key on
what is it when you turn to crank?
I want to know what the click sounds like and where you think it comes from.
I could nail this quickly from the driver seat by my experience. you dont have the same experience so you have to be my eyes and ears, understand?
I' am not a freaking psychic so help me out.
If it's too much trouble to try to understand what I want to know, let me know and I'll back away
Veg: Solenoid plungers stick or the solenoid contacts burn till they dont make contact to run starters. Sometimes brushes wear out and a tap lets them seat enough to spin the motor
