2001 Fuel Milage & Tune Up
#2
Depends on if your Blazer is a 2dr, 4wd, and the rear-end ratio. However, 16 mpg overall seems reasonable. Mine (see my .sig file) at best gets 19 on highway if I'm limited to about 60-65 mph.
As for tune-up parts the basics would be:
The opinion seems to be that for at least the cap, rotor and plugs, you should use AC-Delco parts. There is some debate about the best wires to use.
Replace the air filter with a high quality one (Wix) and check the vacuum hoses for leaks. These hoses are cheap and easy to replace.
P.S. Are you planning to keep your truck? If so, consider replacing the lower intake manifold (LIM) gaskets if they have not already been replaced. They are notorious for catastrophic failures that ruin the engine. They should be replaced with an upgraded version.

Its pretty good for a 4wd. Slightly low for a 2WD. 4.3 Vortecs aren't known for their fuel mileage. I get 14-15 combined with my 2001 4wd. Depends on where and how you drive.
