Default 2002 4.3l grinding sound

My 2002 blazer 4.3l Vortec is making a grinding sound upon excereration that stops when the pedal is eased up on. The sound could be light/thin metal or plastic. The sound seems to be coming from the drivers rear of the engine compartment. I have ruled out the PCV valve, Idler pully, tensioner pully, alrernator, power steering pump, ac compressor and belt.i am at a loss, please has anyone seen this before.

just a thot, check your motor mounts, it may have a bad mount letting the engine rock and making a contact somewhere

Thank you, i will check those out. I am looking at the ignition rotor given the sound type and location as well. I will post an update directly.

I agree with odat. The noise can be the fan blades hitting the radiator shroud.

Are there any signs of rubbing on the ends of the blades or the shroud?
