2002 Blazer Temprature Gague Problem
I just replaced the alternator in my 2002 V6 Blazer. I had to loosen the drive belt and then replaced the alternator without any issue. I replaced the belt after some fiddling around to make sure I got it on all the grooves properly. I tested it and the alternator worked fine.
When I started to drive it to take it for a short drive, I noticed the temperature gauge was burried with the indicator pointing down and to the right. I don't know what I did and how to reset the indicator.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

I don't see how you could have messed anything up with the ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor during the alternator replacement, but it should be located in the driver side cylinder head between cylinders 3 & 5. If it isn't there, then it may be up near the thermostat housing which could possibly have been damaged or disconnected during the alternator replacement.
