Default 2002 steering shaft boot

I just changed the spark plugs on my 2002 Blazer and noticed that the orange rubber boot on the steering shaft(directly across from the middle plug) is torn and I can see several plastic parts. Is it safe to drive it like this until I can replace the boot?

Shouldn't be a problem. If I remember correctly, the plastic pieces you see are just the liner inside the connection between the upper and lower sections.
