Does anyone know where I could find info on the 2003 4.3L's?
Specifically, I have a stock 2003 LS 2WD 4.3L Blazer and I'm interested in finding a dyno sheet on its stock performance and also to know the different gear ratios (ie the ratio in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th). If someone could point me in the right direction to knowing this information that would be great.
Thanks, Gabe

Well, don't have any actual dyno curves for you, but stock, your 4.3L makes 190hp and 250ftlbs of torque (at the crank) and this will be MUCH different if you run on a chassis dyno. The 4L60-E transmission has the following gear ratios: 1st 3.06, 2nd 1.75, 3rd 1.00, 4th 0.70.
You would need to decode your RPO codes in order to find your rear axle ratio, but here's a short list for you:
GT4 Rear Axle: 3.73 Ratio
GT5 Rear Axle: 4.10 Ratio
GU4 Rear Axle: 3.08 Ratio
GU6 Rear Axle: 3.42 Ratio
G80 Rear Axle: Positraction, Limited Slip
The service parts identifier label located on the glove box door should list all of the RPO codes. Run a search here for 'RPO calculator' or something like that and you'll find a link that has a calculator that you can just plug in all of your RPO codes and it'll decode the entire list for you.
Good Luck.
I was able to find this dyno sheet from Hypertech's website. Just disregard the hypertech info for the baseline 4.3L data.

cool lol... I just found out I have positraction (G80) and 3.42 axle ratio (GU6) and my car was made in Linden, NJ (LIN)...
No wonder I haven't been peeling out off the line... lol...

I have the exact same truck (not sure on the rear gear ratio though). It's a great little rig. 250 lb/ft of torque. that's more than i thought. Good info swart, as always.

Why does the dyno done by Hypertech say it hits 150 horses and the specs of a blazer say it hits 190 horses? Same with torque.

Drivetrain losses. The 190hp/250ftlbs are from average engine dyno results, while the hypertech info is a chassis dyno. Its about a 21% loss through the transmission/rear axle.
