my ac clutch would not pull in so I jumped the relay, still did not pull in, so then I gave it a slight tap and it pulled in I did this many of times, some times not many it would pull in by itself, I sprayed it with wd40, is there a proper way to solve this problem?

Sounds like you either have too large of an air gap or your clutch magnet is weak.
I suppose it could be a wiring/connection problem between the relay and the clutch itself. You could test this theory by applying voltage and ground directly to the clutch and see if your results differ.

clutch air gap from factory is .010" to .040" so measure yours and set it closer if too wide- you can borrow the tool from Autozone

best way to check this is to see how much pressure is in the system with a manifold gauge set. You might have to vac the system out and hold vacuum then charge the system to get the clutch to engage. The Low pressure should send signal once there is enough pressure in the system for the clutch to cycle its basically a failsafe mechanism so the compressor won't ruin itself
