Well I replaced the MAP sensor and after a trip around the block the light went off, but 5 minutes later cameback on
. I also noticedit hesitatessometimesafter a stop (red light or stop sign). I also changed the air filter and PCV valve.What should be my next move? The p0107 code also mentions the Mass Air Flow sensor as a possible cause. Do I try this or stop wasting money on parts and take it to a shop?[/align]
Search this site for MAF cleaning-you can do it and cost is only time and cleaner. Does the cat. converter rattle? Had one or two of these where it kicked this code but ultimately had a bad cat. good luck JP PS may have a bad MAF but cleaning it first is the route to go and we'll go from there! The diagnostic procedure never mentions the MAF sensor...
Now this is why I always advocate of proper testing prior to component replacement.
Here is one thing that sticks out at the tail end of the diagnostic procedure linked to above:
MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure
FTP = Fuel Tank Pressure
TP = Throttle Position
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation

10. The 5 volt reference of the VCM supply is shared by the MAP, FTP, TP, and EGR position sensors. A short to ground at ANY of the sensors 5 volt reference circuits OR an internally shorted sensor may cause this DTC to set.

TP = Throttle Position
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
