Default 2003 blazer (2wd) crank & crank but no start? !!ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED!!

Hello I have a two door 2003 blazer 4.3. (Just regular base model) and it wouldn't start again after my sister parked it. Just cranks but won't fire over. Have ran codes an 2 pop up atm... key in ignition malfunction code & a security issue. Ive searched for weeks online an tried the cycling of the key on an off for however minutes. Didnt help. The security light was flashing. Then got to point of flashing an after little bit would go off.
Friend said he put a resistor in by the ignition but that hasn't made any difference either so far.
So now thinking buy new fuel filter..change it out and pray it'll start afterwards. its been down for over month n half now. And being stuck with no wheels sucks. Oh an the gas is at half tank right now. So I am welcoming everyone's opinions, knowledge, advice, whatever ya got to say, im here with eyes waiting haha
An I thank you for taking time to read this one post in this big big world of internet shenanigans.

Start searching the Forum for the security issue.
If that is the codes that show and the security light also shows, start by addressing these known problems.

Replacing the fuel filter is not going to get the engine to start. The security issue has to be addressed. Oh, and blame all of this on your sister.....

The two codes are P1626 & B2961
friend had taken off fuel filter to put a new one on other night an he said he broke off some the fuel line in process, but it did have some pressure or whatever... but he put a hose made for fuel on temporary (bc he said cant put new filter on just yet im assuming have fix the broken line first) but tried starting it and still did same jus cranks an I can tell from the first crank the sound it makes that its not going to start ya know.
now last year we ran scan tool on it when it was driving just fine was curious bc check engine light has always been on.. and all sorts of codes popped up then (Which included them same Two codes) .. U1301 P0300 P0128 P1626 and B2961 But like I said back then it was running, driving, and starting as it should. Now when scan it just shows them two codes an none of the previous ones.

If the security light is flashing when you turn on the key, or crank the engine, that is the first place to start. If the light comes on with the key then turns off, it's likely not the security system.

Agree. The symptoms and the codes indicate a passlock security issue which is most likely defeating the fuel injectors and preventing the truck from running.

You said in your original post that you tried a resistor in the ignition. Do you mean the ignition switch wiring at the yellow wire? Pls describe what you did exactly.

If this is a passlock issue you can confirm by checking for spark, fuel pressure and as a final check, injector pulses with a noid light.

Let me know if you need help with any of these things.

My friend is who put the resistor in so ill have ask him and get back on that question later today. But yes I do know thats where he put it in, at yellow wire there.. He was telling me he thinks its the fuel pump... wouldn't there be a code for the fuel pump though? Thus is getting really frustrating because seems like this friend is doing all this stalling, taking his time, an trying come up with this that thats wrong , jus so that I still dont get it fixed and be independent in that way again. Idk but like I said really sucks, I need it running asap. Have my dad sick in nursing home I cant even go see still bc no vehicle. I am thankful I found this website and has tons of useful information on blazers and people that are willing to try and help. So thank you all for giving me info yall have & the info yall still have yet to give but will lol ♡Love Yall,Katie
