Don't use crimp connectors, (or Haynes manuals) they are worthless. Solder on a piece of 10gauge wire using 60/40 lead/tin rosin core solder, or don't bother with the repair, it won't last.
The DVOM test lead will not carry the amperage that the blower draws, and may destroy the test lead in the process of trying.
